What it means

One of the servers that answers DNS for your domain doesn't exist. Lookups that hit it fail, which makes your whole domain flaky.

The technical detail

An NS target has no A or AAAA record. Resolvers hitting it time out and retry, or SERVFAIL.

How to fix it

  1. Fix or remove the dead NS record at your registrar/DNS host.
  2. Confirm every listed NS answers authoritatively for the zone.
