Only one nameserver

Check id: ns.single · fix effort: medium

What it means

Your entire domain rides on a single DNS server. Website, email, everything. If it goes down, so do you.

The technical detail

One NS host is a single point of failure. RFC 2182 recommends at least two on separate networks.

How to fix it

  1. Add at least one secondary nameserver (any serious DNS host provides 2–4 by default).
  2. Update the NS set at your registrar.
